Back to School Tips!

Hey there!
For our very first post ever (yay!) I decided that a one would be spot on, it is that time of year again. Here are a few short tips to get you back into the rhythm of the school year and help prepare for it.

Tip one - When buying supplies, don't skimp. You may think just one pack of pencils is good enough, but once you're giving one to people who have forgotten theirs, forgetting them on desks, and writing papers... you'll be wishing you had more when you're in need of them.

Tip two - Stick to what you need. I know how easy it is to just stray off to the sides of the store and get lost in all of the pretty colors of markers, crayons, etc, but if you're in high school...chances are you'll never really use them and could have spent your money somewhere else.

Tip three - Check with the school dress code before buying a new wardrobe. If you end up getting ten pairs of ripped jeans, only to find out that you can't wear them to school...it will be a major let down. Same goes with shirts, make sure they cover your shoulders, most schools don't allow sleeveless items.

Tip four - Get lots of paper. Paper is the one thing I use the most of during school. I pull it out to take notes, write papers, doodle, give to others, and who knows what else. Get enough paper, trust me,  you'll use it all and be back for more in no time.

Tip five - Now this tip isn't about shopping or school supplies, actually it's about the rhythm I mentioned earlier. I recommend starting to wake up when you would have to for school about a week before it starts. I have to get up around seven thirty in the morning to get to my first class and during the summer, I sleep in until eight thirty or nine. You don't want to be exhausted on your first day.

Tip six - The last tip is about nutrition. Be sure to eat something before going to school. Have a glass of milk and a banana, some yogurt and orange juice, something that's fast and healthy. If you start your morning with bad foods, you'll be dragging your feet for the rest of the day.

Good luck and have a great back to school.
