Clearance - Hot Topic

Hey everyone,
I absolutely LOVE hottopic.com for their cute teen cloths and low prices, especially in clearance and now It's buy one get one 50% off. Hot Topic has something of a bad reputation for being "goth" and "emo", but I can tell you that's not the case. I get most of my cloths from them and they always get compliments. Give them a shot before pushing them away. When I was looking through their clearance section I found some super cute cloths for girls and thought I could share them with you! I'll start with the bottoms first,

These shorts are charming and for only $14.98? Count me in!! I like boyfriend short shorts because they're in between short shorts and Bermuda shorts. There are perfect for when it's still hot out, but starts cooling down. Plus the white stitching adds a nice touch.
Now onto tops

Well, this isn't exactly a top, but a dress. No matter, it fits right in with the current soft vintage trend. It's still blazing hot where I live and for $18.98, if I wore dresses I'd be all in. In fall when it gets chillier if you were to put a pair of faded jeans or white ones with a small sweater over it...cute!

Last one, the accessories
Yes I know, I know, "That's not an accessory!" It was in the accessories section and after looking at everything and checking on what wasn't sold out, this was my favorite. Good for you, pretty, tastes yummy (hehe), and for $2.98 while being that big....I'm sold.

I've got to go to bed, it's getting late. See you next time!

Katy Perry ~ Last Friday Night!

Hey Everyone,
Ok, so, I'm going my thoughts on Katy Perry's Last Friday Night Song! I LOVE IT! That's really all i have to say about this song; although i did hear a remix today including Missy Elliot and umm...YUCK! Eww it was gross and she ruined the song! If you happen to be reading this Missy, even though we're a just starting blog with no followers and no way to get them but, we still have a chance! Back to Missy, umm yeah well, no offense, but you ruined the song! I love the awesome weird and funky fun music video they did for this song! I actually never heard the song until 8 months later when the music video was on the front page of You-Tube. Of course this amazing song is number 2 on the charts and will be for a while! Anyway its a must for listening to, so why not click play below?!

Thanks so much and sorry about the one song post today but i had to put up a post to make the blog homescreen work, LOL!

Tropical Parfait!

Hey everyone!
Right now I'm going to teach you how to make a very quick, healthy, and delicious parfait that is good for all seasons. Parfaits are perfect for breakfast, desert, and snacks. They're full of nutrients from the fruit, yogurt, and granola, but only take a few minutes to make. Plus, you can always use different fruits, yogurts, etc.
You'll need:

-2 cups, or 2 8oz containers of yogurt, I'm using Peach, but you can use whatever flavor you would like.

-1 1/2 cups of fresh, frozen, or canned pineapple, I'm using canned.

-1 1/4 cups of boysenberries, blueberries, or blackberries, I use whatever I have.

-As much granola as you would like to put on top.

You can replace any fruit for any others, same goes with the yogurt.
Now simply layer the yogurt and fruit into four cups and put the granola on top. (you can also add a spring of fresh mint if you'd like to)
Simple, fast, healthy, and delicious!
This is something I make a LOT because I don't have much time in the mornings to make breakfast, I just make a parfait the night before.
I hope you enjoyed, happy cooking!

DIY ~ Mini Scrapbook Albums

"Fun in the Sun" Mini Album

Hey!
Mini Scrapbook Albums are a fun and easy way to preserve precious photos and quotes simply and beautifully! I have been making mini scrapbooks for over a year and a half and love preserving all my families memories throughout them! They are also perfect for Fundraising! All you need to get started is the following -

- Patterned Paper
- Thick Material such as a cereal box or old cardboard
- Glue Stick and Wet Glue
- Embellishments such as paper flowers, fabric flowers, rhinestones and really anything small and cute!
- Scissors and a paper trimmer {optional}
- Ruler {un-needed if you have a paper trimmer}
- Ribbon or book binding ring
- Hole Punch

To make a mini album all you need to do is use a ruler to cut a 5x5 inch piece of your thick material. You will cut as many pages as you would like for your album! Next use paper trimmer or scissors to cut pattern paper and adhere to think material. Use hole punch to punch a hole in the top left corner! Next thread ribbon or binding ring through all the pages and tie to secure binding! Cut photos down to size and glue to pages. Next add favorite embellishments, quotes and titles! Make sure to sing the back to people know who made it!

I have a really easy and simple PDF instruction manual for only $4 on how to make the album shown above! Make sure to check it out HERE!

Ray-Ban's of course! But which ones??

Hola!
For today's post i wanted to do something i was already familiar with! RAY-BAN'S if you didn't already get that by the title LOL! So i know a lot of you probably already have a pair of no name RayBan look a likes but its time for the real deal don't ya think, but the questions is "Which ones should i get?", I am here to answer this question I know you have been thinking for a while now!
 Original Ray-Ban Wayfarer {My Fav}

As you can see from the name above, we are talking about the Wayfarer sunglasses which are probably the most popular as of now. These sunglasses come in A LOT of colors, prints and combinations, really there's something for everyone. Wayfarer sunglasses range from $145 to $165 on the Ray-Ban site, but who needs that site?! Buy them from e-Bay of course! You get get them about 80 dollars cheaper! I got mine from e-Bay a couple weeks ago for only $104. I got them checked out and they are totally authentic! The choice is up to you!

I find these glasses only look good on tan people! Now I'm not tan so they don't look good on me, but if your tan then they look AWESOME! I always thought the aviators with the mirror looking lenses were so stupid and still do! You need to get something that shows your eyes through the sunglasses such as these. They have sort of an olive colored lens, so it will really show off brown eyes! I saw a girl wearing these at a local yard sale thing and they looked really good! Of course she was tan. These glasses are a bit more pricey at around $189 on the Ray-Ban Site but again check e-Bay for cheaper But-it-Now prices and even auctions!

These so remind me of Lady GaGa for some reason. These are a newer style that hasn't gotten very popular. If your into the more vintage, soft antique looking, fashionable clothing {What i mean by that is...} these are your best bet! They look perfectly vintage inspired and the touches of gold really add a fresh pop to an old looking style! These come in many different colors and styles, but i believe for these you need to stay in the neutral colors and don't get crazy with hot pink and green! These retail about $145 on the Ray-Ban site, but again check e-Bay!! E-Bay is an amazing place don't ya think?!

Back to School Tips!

Hey there!
For our very first post ever (yay!) I decided that a one would be spot on, it is that time of year again. Here are a few short tips to get you back into the rhythm of the school year and help prepare for it.

Tip one - When buying supplies, don't skimp. You may think just one pack of pencils is good enough, but once you're giving one to people who have forgotten theirs, forgetting them on desks, and writing papers... you'll be wishing you had more when you're in need of them.

Tip two - Stick to what you need. I know how easy it is to just stray off to the sides of the store and get lost in all of the pretty colors of markers, crayons, etc, but if you're in high school...chances are you'll never really use them and could have spent your money somewhere else.

Tip three - Check with the school dress code before buying a new wardrobe. If you end up getting ten pairs of ripped jeans, only to find out that you can't wear them to school...it will be a major let down. Same goes with shirts, make sure they cover your shoulders, most schools don't allow sleeveless items.

Tip four - Get lots of paper. Paper is the one thing I use the most of during school. I pull it out to take notes, write papers, doodle, give to others, and who knows what else. Get enough paper, trust me,  you'll use it all and be back for more in no time.

Tip five - Now this tip isn't about shopping or school supplies, actually it's about the rhythm I mentioned earlier. I recommend starting to wake up when you would have to for school about a week before it starts. I have to get up around seven thirty in the morning to get to my first class and during the summer, I sleep in until eight thirty or nine. You don't want to be exhausted on your first day.

Tip six - The last tip is about nutrition. Be sure to eat something before going to school. Have a glass of milk and a banana, some yogurt and orange juice, something that's fast and healthy. If you start your morning with bad foods, you'll be dragging your feet for the rest of the day.

Good luck and have a great back to school.
